Q. Favourite bar/club?

There aren't any in Hong Kong that I like. My favourite bars are all in Tokyo. The bars there serve whisky with genuine rocks of ice, instead of small pieces that look like snow.

Q. What's your poison?

Whisky on the rocks. I drink a glass every night before going to bed.

Q. What do you do only for pleasure?

Many different things: listening to music, reading books, watching DVDs and movies, and strolling the streets.

Q. What are you listening to?

I'm listening to the new release by a local band called Square Fruit. The title of the album is Single Person. There aren't many words accompanying the music, which is a combination of electronic and art rock. I'm also listening to some jazz music from the 1970s and 80s, and Taiwanese pop songs.

Q. Is there a song that always makes you dance?

There's no particular song but I like the jazz of Herbie Hancock and Miles Davies.

Q. Is there a song that always tells you it's time to go?

Anything by Kenny G.

Q. What can't you say no to?

Basically, there's nothing that I can't say no to.

Q. Who are the people who have inspired you?

Einstein because his work was so impressive, Mozart because of his music.

Q. How do you prepare for an evening out?

Take a shower, put on clean clothes, bring my keys and money.

Q. How do you prepare for a performance?

The most exciting moment is when you get into the theatre and get everything ready. We go from having nothing to having something and are very 'sight specific' so total involvement is important.

Q. How much does a normal night out cost you?

Anything up to $1,000. It depends on the kind of entertainment. But walking the streets would be the cheapest night I could have.

Q. Who would you like to be trapped in a lift with?

The young Charlotte Rampling, for obvious reasons.

Q. What do you contribute to society?

Alternative viewpoints that make people angry or happy.
