The temperature is finally dropping this week and Hong Kong’s bars have just the thing when it comes to enjoying the cooler weather.

Socio joins hands with Four Pillars Gin on a collaborative sustainable menu also featuring upcycled surplus ingredients from four venues in Central. Qura Bar hosts Bacchanalia from London for a guest shift themed around the Mediterranean, and for those planning to take advantage of a midweek public holiday on the 29th, Ladies Who Pink is back for one night at The Daily Tot, with seven local female bartenders shaking and stirring to raise money for breast cancer research.

If you’ve been on Staunton Street this week, you may have noticed vibrant new street art on the usually minimalist facade of Socio, courtesy of street artist Omacke. The sustainability-focused bar is collaborating with Four Pillars Gin on four special signatures that use the spirit along with surplus ingredients from four establishments. The drinks will be available until the end of November.

These include cocktails like Cheese, using Olive Leaf Gin and tequila distilled with cheese rind from cheese omakase venue Roucou, combined with ube, Aperol and grapefruit soda. And it’s not only restaurants that are involved: wine and cocktail bar Sugar King is supplying lime husks from its many delicious daiquiris for the Lime Husk, which uses Fresh Yuzu Gin, miso butter-washed Calvados, blackened lime cordial, white amaro and bee pollen.
