Society by James Whittle: 'Bruce Lee' lunch packs a punch

Seven Bruce Lee fans got the treat of their lives when they won a dim sum meal with the martial arts legend's older sister, Phoebe Lee. The auction winners - who will dine at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile - came from the world over, including Norway, Britain and, of course, Hong Kong.
Two generous bidders received some rare memorabilia from Phoebe Lee. One was local fan Rickael Cheung Ming-tak, who got a Bruce Lee poster and Game of Death press kit. Raul Esparza III from San Francisco got a laser disc version of The Way of the Dragon. Both of them were grinning from ear to ear.
South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun was in town this week for the premiere of his new film Secretly, Greatly.
The multi-award-winning actor and record setter - with 17 simultaneous product endorsements - was almost blown away by the wind, rain and screams of adulation from his legion of fans.
Fans braved the weather to pack an open-air deck on the 16th floor of The One mall in Tsim Sha Tsui to see the star, who plays a North Korean spy in the movie. It proved to be worth the effort, with Kim joining fans for a group photo before heading off to the premiere.
