Fashionistas came running when Italian footwear brand Geox unveiled its autumn-winter line on Wednesday. Among the celebrities at the preview at Italian restaurant Domani in Pacific Place were actor Simon Yam Tat-wah, model Janet Ma and her daughters, and model-actress Jennifer Tse Ting-ting, who was sporting a biker-chick look.
Yam and Tse agreed that comfort was the prime factor when choosing shoes, and each had a favourite from Geox's latest collection. Yam liked a pair of leather loafers with a faux leopard print top, while Tse was already wearing her favourites - black high-tops with a studded leather anklet.
Swarovski hosted a sparkling event to unveil its new range of Silk Road-inspired bling at its Hysan Place store. The autumn-winter line-up comprises three distinctive collections - China, India and Venice Italy - each representing a stop along the Silk Road.
There to help support the launch of the new line were actress Charmaine Sheh Sze-man along with celebrity models Zelia Zhong and Lea Tassova.
Sheh and Zhong both admitted to being long-time collectors of Swarovski crystal figurines. Zhong, who has lost count of how many she owns, says her mother once bought a display cabinet for them "to keep them nice and safe, because I'm a little careless". Sheh proudly cited, among her collection, little crystal reproductions of the rubber duck installation that floated on Victoria Harbour earlier this year. She said she was eager to add to her crystal menagerie.
