Classic children's literature is usually a safe bet as a gift, but a collector's edition adds to the appeal for a young bookworm. This version of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, from 1946, includes the follow-up novel, Through the Looking Glass, with illustrations by German artist Fritz Kredel, who created drawings for numerous children's books, including special edition Hans Christian Andersen volumes. A gift that gives back can double the happiness in this season of goodwill. Fashion label Marni enlisted the help of underprivileged children from around the world, including Colombia, Tibet and Kenya, to design a limited edition collection of T-shirts and bags featuring their drawings.
