Classic children's literature is usually a safe bet as a gift, but a collector's edition adds to the appeal for a young bookworm. This version of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, from 1946, includes the follow-up novel, Through the Looking Glass, with illustrations by German artist Fritz Kredel, who created drawings for numerous children's books, including special edition Hans Christian Andersen volumes. These books have their original multicoloured striped boards and slipcase. HK$2,400 at Picture This, 212, 2/F Prince's Building, Central, tel: 2525 2803
