From snake-themed events to whether your luck is in: discover all you need to know about the coming Lunar New Year in our Year of the Snake 2025 series.
What does 2025’s coming Year of the Snake have in store for those born in the Year of the Sheep (1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015)?
Lucky colour: khaki; lucky element: amber; lucky number 5
This is a year of wealth and prosperity for those born under the sign of the Sheep. Investing is recommended, but remember to research or seek proper financial advice first.

However, under the influence of a cursed star, things at home will not go too well. There will be many unexpected expenses, like family emergencies, so it is a good idea to buy insurance this year for loved ones and home.
This is a good year to do some financial planning and to save emergency money. To ward off bad luck, Sheep may want to donate to medical causes or help friends out with their medical emergencies.


Wealth and career
There are no auspicious stars in their chart for their career this year, so there will be no benefactors to help them – Sheep will have to rely on their own strengths this year.
Sheep will need to play defence in the Year of the Snake, which means being prepared if they are thinking about switching careers, changing jobs or starting a business. This is a bad year for Sheep to “naked quit” – to quit without something already lined up; do that and they might find themselves unemployed for a while.
Bad stars in the career chart mean there could be many problems involving justice, gossip or lawsuits. Business owners and the self-employed will have to keep an eye on the handling of documents to avoid trouble with the law – seek legal advice before signing any official documents.
Employees will feel there are many obstacles at work. Things may get difficult and Sheep might be the target of harsh criticism. They should grit their teeth and do the best they can.

Love and relationships
There are no auspicious stars related to love and relationships for Sheep this year, who can only rely on their charm to attract a partner. Single men should pay attention to their appearance before social gatherings and take the initiative to meet new people.
Singletons with high expectations may find it difficult to find a suitable partner this year, so they might have to focus on work instead.
Things will go well for Sheep who are married or in a stable relationship, and this will be a good year to nurture a good partnership.
Learning to think from the other party’s perspective will help reduce disputes. Going on outings or taking small trips will not only enhance the relationship, but will relieve work pressure and help Sheep relax.

Health and home
The luck of Sheep in regards to health and home are mediocre this year. They should try to avoid places with strong yin energy such as hospitals, funeral parlours and cemeteries to prevent negative energy from affecting their aura.
Sheep should attend happy events, such as wedding banquets, celebrations of babies’ 100 days and company openings to help improve their overall luck.
Thanks to the influence of a cursed star, they must be careful about the health of elderly members of their family. If they or their family members feel unwell, they should seek medical advice immediately.
