The sudden cold snap this week serves as a reminder to take advantage of the warm weather while we can. Though temperatures are climbing back up, they will soon drop again as we enter the cooler months.
Here are five things to do in Hong Kong this weekend.
1. Wine and Dine Festival 2025
The long-awaited festival full of tasty bites and elegant wines returns this week, from October 23 to 26.
The four-day event will once again turn Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront into a world-class culinary hub with a wide variety of international cuisines and premium wines. Get a taste of every corner of the world without leaving Hong Kong.
Opening hours are from noon to midnight each day. Tasting passes, which cover admission and include eight tokens valued at HK$25 each, cost HK$298. For more information on various ticket passes, click here.

2. Urban Flea at the Heath
Those who missed Urban Flea’s sale last weekend fret not – it is hosting another free-to-enter market on October 25 and 26.

From 1pm to 8pm on both days, those interested in second-hand clothing and rare vintage pieces can hunt for treasure at Heath shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. Shoppers can expect curated indie fashion, street-style gems, art pieces and unique finds – all in a buzzing underground space.
Arrive early to get the first picks and take a lunch break at the venue’s hidden-gem restaurants.

3. A Night at the Musicals

Back by popular demand, Crisel Consunji will perform at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall on Sunday and Monday.
The singer and former Hong Kong Disneyland artist will join the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong with guest singers Raymond Young and Lisa Jane Kelsey for an evening of iconic tunes.
British conductor Robert Guy will feature in the performance. Child stars Natalia Cheng and Hayley Tsoi will also take the stage on October 26 and 27, respectively.
Expect to hear show-stopping nostalgic hits such as “Colours of the Wind”, “Think of Me” and “Defying Gravity”, and leave the concert with a renewed love for musical theatre.

4. CCG Tsuen Wan Games
With just a couple of weeks until the National Games of China, Chinachem Group has launched the CCG Tsuen Wan Games to champion the “Sports for All” movement.
The six-week festival, at D-Park in Tsuen Wan until November 23, offers more than 70 activities to inspire participants to build up their fitness, including a football showcase, a dynamic obstacle course and a beginner’s pickleball class.

These activities invite everyone in the family to train together. Participants of all ages can join, and difficulty levels are adjustable to ensure families can comfortably compete and connect.

5. It Was Just an Accident


In It Was Just An Accident, the Palme d’Or winner at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, women in Iran can choose to appear and work in public without headscarves, and wear Western-style bridal dresses in the open. Modern bookshops do brisk business, and – perhaps most strikingly – paroled dissidents can rebuild their lives without hassle from the authorities.
The film is directed by Jafar Panahi, who can work and travel freely again after since-overturned convictions placed restrictions on him.
He seems to have set It Was Just An Accident somewhere in an imagined, brighter future, when authoritarianism and religious dogma have receded into the distance.
As suppressed anguish takes over, however, the film turns into a dark nightmare. Could past traumas be so easily forgotten – and how should those who have suffered confront or make peace with their tormentors in a land of relative freedom?
Filmed in Iran without official approval, It Was Just an Accident is a masterfully scripted, highly contemplative drama about the after-effects of political tyranny on the individual. Read our full review
