From Blue Bottle Coffee’s new branch and Sang Roastery’s airport outpost to a newcomer in Sham Shui Po, here are 5 cafes to stay cool at

New cafe openings in Hong Kong include some ensconced in the air-conditioned paradise of airports and shopping malls, while others may require a short walk under the sun. Either way, your reward – in the form of deliciously cooling caffeine – will be waiting.
1. Blue Bottle Coffee

The newest Blue Bottle Coffee cafe takes over a space with high foot traffic in the middle of Cityplaza mall in Taikoo Shing. This branch is distinctive thanks to its open grid structure reminiscent of Hong Kong’s bamboo scaffolding.
The cafe is also the first in the city to offer Blue Bottle Coffee’s signature Kyoto-style espresso, which is extracted using cold water dripped slowly over coffee grounds rather than hot, pressurised water.
