For better or worse, Chinese fashion is full of surprises. After the odd-looking "face-kini", face masks mostly worn by old Chinese women to prevent sun damage, there's a new trend sprouting up in China - plastic flowers on a clip attached to your head.

It began in mid-August on the streets of Beijing. A rose here.... a sprig of something there..... the more people started wearing them, the more fashionable they became. Celebrities also got in on it and started posting pictures of themselves with the plastic headwear.
