Meet AOC’s ‘hot’ gay brother, Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez – who just shut down fentanyl trafficking rumours: he works with the homeless, and Cardi B thinks he looks like J.Lo’s ex, Marc Anthony

Like his big sister, Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez is an activist – he works with the homeless and founded the Deaf Collective, an arts organisation supporting the deaf queer community
“I’m the brother. My name’s not Matthew. I have no idea why they’re posting this,” Gabriel, 32, said in a TikTok video in response to the unfounded allegations. “I work with the homeless. I have nothing to do with this story, which isn’t real. Please find something better to do with your time.”

In a follow-up post, Gabriel explained why he decided to publicly respond to the allegations. “That’s all it takes to start to get somebody that’s a little bit radicalised, somebody that’s willing to pick up their guns and go do something,” he said. “And it wouldn’t be the first time somebody’s tried. That’s the society that we’re in, so things like this are just more serious than ever – and you can’t slander people.”

Here’s what we know about AOC’s younger brother.
Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez’s background
