What’s her background?

Denise Rich was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Emil and Gerry Eisenberg. Her father left Germany in 1933 and moved to Paris where he started a fur company with his three brothers. In 1940, per The New York Times, he moved to the Big Apple with Gerry and their firstborn daughter Monique. The family eventually settled down in Worcester, where he ran several businesses. In 1976, he established a girls’ vocational high school in Tel Aviv.
Rich’s father struggled with illness for a long time before passing away in 2003. In a red carpet interview with Charlii Sebunya in 2023, Rich said she lost her mother to lung cancer and her sister Monique to breast cancer.
