The Curry name has been a part of NBA history for nearly 40 years. Dell Curry had an illustrious career, playing for five teams over 16 seasons, while Stephen Curry has become a legend in his own right, holding the current record for most three-pointers ever scored in an NBA career. But who is Steph’s lesser-known little brother, Seth Curry?
In recent years, nepotism within the NBA has been a hot topic. Between two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brother Thanasis getting a contract with his brother’s team, the Milwaukee Bucks, in 2019, to fans questioning whether LeBron James’ eldest son Bronny deserves to be put on the roster for Los Angeles Lakers in 2024, audiences are becoming increasingly critical about players being given advantages that are not based on merit.

This, however, does not seem to be a concern for the Curry men. Despite his father and brother’s success, Seth has managed to prove that he’s rightfully earned a place in the league.
What else do we know about Seth Curry?
Seth Curry’s NBA career
Seth Curry, who played at Duke University for the Duke Blue Devils, had a successful NCAA run, but after graduating in 2013, went undrafted. Later that year, he was acquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G League, the sport’s development league.
Since then, Curry has been traded frequently. Unlike his brother, who’s played for the Golden State Warriors his entire career, Seth has played for a handful of teams in both the West Coast and East Coast conferences, even landing with the Dallas Mavericks three times: in the 2016-2018 season, then 2019-2020, and again in the 2023-2024 season. He currently plays for the Charlotte Hornets.
Seth Curry comes from a family of athletes
We’ve already mentioned his dad and elder brother, but Seth is also married to sporting royalty: his wife is professional volleyball coach Callie Rivers, the daughter of NBA coach Doc Rivers. Callie’s brother Austin was Seth’s former teammate at Duke. Curry and Rivers share three children.
