Actress Heather Graham says her latest film, Chosen Family, (which she both stars in and directs) is about what happens when a reformed people pleaser like her says no. “I wanted to take some things in my life that I had found hard and painful and turn it into comedy,” she told The Guardian last month.
Her new-found confidence is often evident in photos she posts on Instagram too. After spending the Christmas holidays learning how to ski from her snowboarder boyfriend John de Neufville, she shared snaps of her getaway to Jackson, Wyoming. One of the pictures featured Graham showing off her toned body, wearing a blue string bikini in a hot tub. Another showed her snuggling close to her man.
“Before, I was more: ‘What do other people think?’ Now I’m just like, f*** it,” she told The Guardian.
“Happy New Year! Hope this year brings us all lots of love and good vibes. I’m learning how to ski from @bennyskispowder and looking for ways to be healthy and happy in the new year,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.
