Meet George and Amal Clooney’s glamorous niece, Mia Hamiyeh: she was a flower girl at the Clooneys’ 2014 wedding in Venice and has since joined the couple on red carpets wearing Giambattista Valli

Mia is the daughter of Amal’s sister Tala and businessman Nagi Hamiyeh; when not with her famous aunt and uncle on the red carpet, she’s busy training to be a lawyer in the UK
Standing almost as tall as her aunt, the young woman, who turns 23 this year, made a glamorous appearance in a red dress with a sweetheart neckline, silver heels and a gold clutch – and was almost unrecognisable from the first time she appeared in public. Back in 2015, when she was only 13, Hamiyeh joined the Clooneys on the red carpet for the premiere of Tomorrowland wearing Giambattista Valli, flats and braces on her teeth. That cheerful little girl is now following in her aunt’s footsteps, working as a legal intern at the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
So, what else do we know about Mia Hamiyeh?
Who are her parents?

What are her educational qualifications?

Mia Hamiyeh has a law degree from SOAS University of London and is currently qualifying as a lawyer through Leeds’ BPP Law School. Before working with the Clooney Foundation for Justice, she was a Junior Fellow at the Center for International Governance and Dispute Resolution at King’s College London, served as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and was a legal intern at the United Nations’ Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
