Nicholas Hoult has made headlines for debuting an edgy blond look ahead of the release of his new film.

Superman, the first opus from James Gunn’s relaunched DC Universe, is set to premiere on July 11. The 35-year-old British actor plays Lex Luthor, one of the most well-known villains in the comic book’s history, who was previously portrayed by late Hollywood star Gene Hackman in 1978, and Michael Rosenbaum in the TV series Smallville.

During the film’s ongoing press tour, the Nosferatu star has been making waves not just for the anticipation surrounding his performance, but also for his evolving fashion sense. Hoult’s sharp, cohesive looks reflect the intellect and presence of his on-screen character, and have been carefully curated by Jason Bolden, aka The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Stylist of the Year. Bolden has previously worked with Cynthia Erivo, Michael B. Jordan, Nicole Kidman and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

On July 3, Hoult posed at the Superman photocall at the Corinthia Hotel in London joined by his co-stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, as well as director James Gunn. Hoult wore a Burberry autumn 2025 leather jacket over a simple white T-shirt and tailored trousers that gave him the perfect slim-fit silhouette – even if he was a little overdressed for the heatwave. The actor finished the look with a pair of Chelsea boots and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute Duoface Chronograph.

A day earlier, Hoult attended a fan event at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square in a power suit. This time, he embraced an oversized silhouette with a Bottega Veneta ensemble, complete with the brand’s Astaire loafers. The Jaeger-LeCoultre global ambassador wore the Reverso Tribute in pink gold once more to add a refined touch.
