Wicked may very well be remembered for making movie magic off screen just as well as on.

Walking the red carpet premieres across Paris, London, São Paulo, Singapore and New York, stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum have enamoured fans worldwide with their on-theme method dressing choices. This was all in honour of the film’s second chapter, Wicked: For Good, hitting the silver screen this weekend.

Paying tribute to The Wizard of Oz, Ariana Grande’s timeless black gown at Wicked: For Good’s London premiere actually dates back to 1952. Designed by Gilbert Adrian, the lead costume designer for the original 1939 classic starring Judy Garland, the gown was sourced by Rita Watnick for Lily et Cie, a vintage boutique in West Hollywood. Stylist Law Roach completed the look with Swarovski jewels.

Teaming up with stylist Jason Bolden yet again, Cynthia Erivo opted for this A-line gown by Prada with a belted waist and vinyl sleeves.
