Liu Wen and Richard E. Grant sported Miu Miu’s workwear, Shiatzy Chen embraced equestrian chic, and Sacai’s Chitose Abe invited us into her ‘home from home’

Day 8 of a very long Paris Fashion Week ended with the much awaited Chanel show – Matthieu Blazy’s debut for the Parisian label – but there was plenty more to see before that.

Here are a few highlights from brands such as Miu Miu and Thom Browne.

If most models on fashion runways these days look like they’re ready to go out partying in their flirty dresses or get on a private jet in their cashmere coats, those at Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2026 show looked like drab factory workers or prim and proper homemakers.

Once again, Miuccia Prada conjured up a series of characters for her latest show for Miu Miu, Prada’s sister brand.

Called At Work, the collection was an essay on the meaning of work and “work as a symbol of care and love”.

The apron, a utilitarian garment that is worn both in the kitchen and in factory settings, was the running thread acting as an emblem of work.

There were plenty of iterations of the humble garment – wrinkled, bejewelled, made of denim or leather, and worn on top of colourful jumpers and frilly dresses.

Worn by a diverse casting that ranged from well-known models like Liu Wen and actors like Richard E. Grant to androgynous types and even a young Asian model with tooth braces, the clothes were far from flattering – which was by design.
