Adventurous textures, canvas stripes and refined colour palettes define the effortless Italian style of Furla’s spring-summer bags

In summer, Milan’s appeal lies in the details – the way the sunlight falls on a canal, the measured colours of the older residential streets, a picnic under the trees at the Parco Sempione. Furla’s spring-summer 2026 collection takes this language of subtlety and sunshine and translates it into a collection of bags that are attuned to lightness.

Texture is fundamental. Canvas stripes – perfectly echoing the sight of parasols and sunbeds along the Italian coast – conjure up a laid-back, seaside aesthetic for the Debby family of soft-structured totes and shoulder bags. Another tactile layer comes from crochet surfaces: hand-finished, but balanced with metallic accents and leather trims.

Two classic colour pairings – natural canvas with cognac and blue-and-white with tonal blue – are seen across totes, crossbodies, buckets and shoulder bags. Otherwise, colour is drawn straight out of the palette of a Milanese aperitif hour: vivid Velvet Pink, Mudec Yellow, M1 Red and Amatore Blue sit alongside softer notes of Carta da Zucchero, Dusty Pink, Talco, Linen, Artemisia and Anemone Pink. The effect is less about trend and more about versatility – pieces that can lift a neutral look or keep things restrained, depending on how you play it.

From the starting points of texture and hue, shapes extend the narrative. The new Amelia bucket is a go-anywhere piece with elevated details: a golden turnlock embossed with the Furla logo, clean lines edged in contrasting paint, and options in grained leather, canvas-and-leather or full leather, all in compact mini proportions with a top handle and removable shoulder strap. The Divide It bag, revived from Furla’s vaults, is all about structure, its diagonal line and “Furla Archive” tag nodding to the brand’s history while its small and mini totes in calfskin, canvas or raffia feel firmly current.

Elsewhere, Iride returns with sculptural hardware and a diamond-cut arch that catches the light, refreshed in luminous shades such as Aperitivo Orange, Velvet Pink, Mudec Yellow and Carta da Zucchero. Lea rethinks the shopping tote with a detachable pouch that can be worn alone; Tonie offers a softer, mini hobo in leather, paillettes or crochet; Olivia and Moonlight celebrate the beauty of elegant details.

Together, they sketch out a summer wardrobe of bags that favour quiet impact over spectacle. These are pieces designed to work hard and be appreciated by those who pay attention – much like the subtleties of a Milanese summer.
