Paris Fashion Week 2026: Matthieu Blazy constructs a playful Chanel revolution

Blazy’s collection included Chanel’s signature skirt suits in silicone and other synthetic materials, with sequins and floral flourishes
The ultimate judges, however, will be luxury clients – both long-time Chanel customers and those new to the label – who seem to be already snapping up Blazy’s first collection, at least according to social media.

Meanwhile, the designer keeps delivering one blockbuster show after another, which bodes well for the future of a brand that was in need of a major injection of creative energy.
For the fall/winter 2026 show, Blazy and his team built a construction site at the Grand Palais. Soaring cranes in primary colours – green, yellow, red and blue – hovered over a glittering runway.
A metaphor for Blazy’s tenure at Chanel – the foundation of his work for the house so far – the set was also meant to evoke the playfulness of children’s construction games.
