It’s almost here … a festival of football sees 48 teams compete for the game’s biggest prize – here are fashions inspired by the event to help get you in the mood
From June 11 to July 19, all eyes are set to be on the US, Mexico and Canada as they host the biggest-ever edition of the football world’s most important tournament. With billions set to tune in to the action, the world’s leading designers have been busy creating the teams’ national strips as well as every kind of World Cup-themed apparel.

Nike

Nike Football’s official federation kits for the Fifa World Cup 2026 will cover the backs of players and fans alike, from Brazil and France, to China and Nigeria. A key element of the jerseys is Aero-Fit, Nike’s apparel cooling system, which claims to deliver twice the airflow of regular fabrics to help even the most athletic player – or boisterous supporter – stay cool.
Puma x Priya Ahluwalia

For her second collaboration with Puma, London-based designer Priya Ahluwalia fused her Indian-Nigerian background with the sportswear giant’s football heritage. Inspired by fan culture on the African continent, Ahluwalia came up with a joyful collection that reinterprets classic silhouettes from Puma’s archives in punchy colours such as the green of the Nigerian flag and vibrant hues drawn from Africa’s landscape.
