Chinese zodiac predictions

The Pig symbolises wealth in Chinese culture – it’s also a ‘double month’, meaning both good luck and bad energy are doubled

It’s November! The 10th solar month in the Chinese calendar runs from November 7 to December 6, and it’s the month of the Fire Pig – ding hai. The Pig symbol relates to wealth – which is why we have piggy banks! It’s almost the end of the year, a time of reflection, short days and an excess of yin energy, so if life has felt out of sync lately, you are not alone.

November is a unique month, as it is one of the “double months” of 2025, meaning that the good energy residing within our personal space is doubled. Likewise, the negative areas of our personal space can cause blockages.

Being the Pig month, it is also the astrological clash month of 2025, as the Pig and Snake don’t get on. Expect interferences, and an overload of opinions – even if well intentioned – can cause some uncomfortable moments.

The Pig belongs to the astrological trio with the Rabbit and Goat, known as the diplomats; these are the cooperatives of the zodiac. They are sensitive, sympathetic, sociable and always eager to please. They are not risk takers and care for each other. The Rabbit’s astuteness protects the Goat’s generosity, while the Goat benefits from the Rabbit’s sense of priority. The Pig’s strength complements the Rabbit’s strategic thinking and the Goat’s gentle approach. So, it’s time to look ahead as we move into the final quarter of the Chinese astrological year. It’s the last chance to set the record straight with regards to what legacy you wish to leave for 2025!

In traditional Chinese culture, the Pig symbolises home, family and wealth – the luxuries in life. This zodiac sign loves to be pampered, yet they can be practical, logical and down-to-earth individuals. Those born under the gentle Pig sign are kind, sociable and will always welcome you into their home – their sanctuary. Work smarter, not harder is the mantra for most born under the Pig sign, who are industrious yet careful. They are also innocent, sweet and lovable, at times melancholy and oversensitive; Pigs also love the company of others, adore parties, gossip and chit chat.

Although highly intelligent, they tend to keep this aspect of their nature private. At times when the Pig is out of balance, they may appear complacent and dismissive.

The Snake is the nemesis of the Pig; they don’t have a lot to say to each other. These two signs are so different that there is little chance for any dialogue at all. In addition, the Astrological Cosmic winds enhance the conflict energies in 2025; more so with it being the Wood Snake year. The best advice is for the two to put as much distance between each other as possible this month, avoiding giving opinions even if asked, as it may all backfire. The last thing you need is to end the year with any bad blood, which can contaminate your luck going into the New Year.

The Pig corresponds to the hours between 9pm and 11pm. If you have one or more pig signs in your birth chart – meaning that you were either born in a Pig year, month (November), day or Pig hours (9pm-11pm) – your pig traits will be magnified, especially during this specific astrological month.
