The renowned artist will also stage an exhibition at the gallery in October
A new art space designed by renowned Chinese artist Ai Weiwei has opened in Beverly Hills. The space, which belongs to The United Talent Agency (UTA), will be used to showcase the works of global visual art artists.
The UTA art space is designed by Ai Weiwei.
Ai has been a client of UTA since his acclaimed documentary Human Flow. The artist was moved by the concrete façade of the former warehouse which is similar to his Beijing Studio, and decided to help design the gallery.
The space, which belongs to The United Talent Agency, will be used to showcase the works of global visual art artists.
The gallery’s first exhibition, “ONE SHOT”, is a group exhibition of select Color Field artists working from the late 1950s to 1970s. It runs until August 18. Ai will open a solo exhibition at the gallery on October 4, 2018, his first gallery exhibition in Los Angeles.
