Fame and celebrity

  • The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was often spotted at Jon and Vinny’s with former beau Pete Davidson, and once ordered a pizza named ‘ham and yeezy’ after ex-husband Kanye West
  • Her favourite Chinese chicken ‘shake salad’ is from Health Nut, an order Khloé Kardashian adds avocado to; Kris Jenner is now an investor in the chain too

Kim Kardashian once famously lost 30kg (60 pounds) on an Atkins 40 diet after giving birth to her son Saint West in 2015, so it’s safe to say that the star has always been conscious about what she’s putting into her body.

These days, the global reality television and fashion icon is sticking mostly to a plant-based diet, and has at times credited her culinary habits for her infamous figure. But that doesn’t mean the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star would forsake a good night out with her friends, partner or family.

We’ve rounded up a list of the 43-year-old businesswoman’s favourite restaurants, from the Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant Nobu to the hotel where she celebrated her daughter North West’s birthday.

1. Jon and Vinny’s

This East Coast-style Italian spot has been one of the most hyped restaurants in LA since opening in 2015. The no-frills pastas and thin pizzas are beloved by the picky California crowd, meaning it’s difficult to find a seat at the joint without a reservation at night.

Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson were spotted at the restaurant a few times when they dated last year. According to Insider, they ordered salads, pastas and meatballs. Per TMZ, they also ordered a pizza named after Kanye West, the “ham and yeezy”, although it’s now listed as “ham and eazy” on the restaurant’s menu online – still a reference to Ye. The pizza has smoked ham, vodka sauce, red onion, caciocavallo, mozzarella and pickled Fresno chilis.

2. Beverly Hills Hotel

Kardashian was spotted with Davidson and her pals several times at the hotel. In June this year, she also hosted a pink pyjama party for her daughter North’s 10th birthday party. According to E! Online, the slumber party featured a cheese board and a tray of chocolate-covered strawberries and macrons.

3. Nobu in Malibu

One of Kardashian’s favourite places to eat out at is the internationally renowned Japanese-Peruvian restaurant Nobu, which has locations around the world, including London, Hong Kong and Milan.

At the Malibu branch, where Kardashian is most often seen, the beachfront space boasts a view of the ocean. The fusion restaurant adopts a contemporary take on traditional Japanese cuisine using Peruvian ingredients. Popular dishes include the fried rock shrimp tempura with spicy mayo and miso-marinated black cod.
