Meet Arian Moayed, who plays Dr Andy in Nobody Wants This alongside Succession co-star Justine Lupe

The actor is best known for his roles in Succession and Inventing Anna, but he was also nominated for a 2011 Tony for a play starring Robin Williams

“I was like, ‘Let me just watch one episode’,” Moyaed told The New York Times in a recent interview. “And then my wife and I finished the whole thing in less than 24 hours.”
Fans of HBO’s hit show Succession may already know Moayed as Stewy Hosseini, a private equity investor who builds a close friendship with Kendall “eldest boy” Roy, but the 45-year-old actor has range: in Inventing Anna, for instance, he plays a defence lawyer. Moayed was also nominated for a Tony Award for his role opposite Robin Williams.

His family immigrated to America after the Iranian Revolution

Arian Moayed was born in April 1980 in Iran to a banker and his wife. He was still a child when his family emigrated to the States after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. They eventually set down new roots in the Chicago suburbs, where he grew up, per LA Times.
Moayed attended Glenbrook South High School and later studied theatre at Indiana University. After acting in theatre productions throughout college, he went on to co-found Waterwell, a theatre company with his college roommate Tom Ridgely, in 2002.
