While his character’s marriage is on the rocks, the actor is a devoted family man who’s been married since 2008 and has two children

The second season of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s hit romcom series Nobody Wants This has landed on Netflix, and it is already the most-watched English-language TV show on the platform. While fans are overjoyed to see the return of their favourite couple, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody), another pair on the show is going through a rough patch.

In season two, Noah’s brother Sasha and his wife Esther, played by Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn respectively, decide to part ways after their marriage sours. The fact that Sasha is a little too close to Joanne’s sister Morgan, played by Justine Lupe, doesn’t help matters.

Calling his character the “perfect guy”, Simons told People, “I don’t see anything wrong with what he’s doing.” The Veep star explained, “It doesn’t always work out, and maybe it still will, but right now is that weird part. And we’re putting it on TV.”

Timothy Simons, 47, was born in Readfield, in the US state of Maine. He grew up in an Irish Catholic family, he revealed to Uproxx, but religion wasn’t a major factor of his upbringing. His family had a photography business, his father Ron being the photographer and his mother Susan handling the finances. She later started working with the adult education programme at her son’s high school.
