The 18-year-old released his first track in February – his latest music video stars his famous dad, but has been largely criticised online

Pop star Katy Perry and her rumoured new sweetheart, former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, are the hottest new couple in town. The pair were first spotted cosying up in Montreal in July, months after Trudeau resigned from his official post. This potential first date was followed by an October outing on a yacht in Santa Barbara, where the couple were photographed kissing, per the Daily Mail. Days later, the “Dark Horse” singer spent her 41st birthday with the politician at Crazy Horse in Paris on October 25. A Page Six source claimed, “He is crazy about her and thinks she is the perfect woman.”
Perry split from her ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, in June, while Trudeau has been publicly single since splitting from ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023.

Meanwhile, Trudeau’s sons, Hadrien and Xavier, whom he shares with his estranged wife, are drawing attention too. The former dressed up as a surfer for Halloween and was joined by his dad, who wore a shark costume – a move many believe was a nod to the famous Left Shark meme that emerged from Perry’s 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. Meanwhile, the latter is a rapper, and he’s just dropped new music.

Justin and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau welcomed three children during their marriage. Xavier, their oldest, was born in 2007 while Hadrien, their youngest, arrived in 2014. They also have a daughter, Ella-Grace, who was born in 2009.

According to a post on Grégoire Trudeau’s Instagram, Xavier teaches his little brother basketball. The 18-year-old has also accompanied his father on official trips, such as a ministerial visit to India in 2023.

Speaking to Hot Freestyle, a YouTube channel covering culture, Xavier said he faced “a lot of external pressure” as Trudeau’s eldest child. But he’s not interested in following in his father’s footsteps. When asked if he wanted to be PM on The Brandon Gonez Show, he simply said, “Nah.”
