Meet Robbie G.K., the scene-stealer in ice hockey series Heated Rivalry

In the show’s third episode, the Canadian actor’s appearance as Kip sent fans into a frenzy – but he could’ve had a different role
Since it premiered with two episodes on November 28, the show has achieved viral popularity with several clips from the show doing the rounds online.
But what do we know about Robbie G.K? Read on to find out.
He made his stage debut in The Sound of Music

Robbie G.K., whose full name is Robbie Graham-Kuntz, was born in July 1996 and grew up in Ontario, Canada. He honed his skills in singing, acting and dancing at Toronto’s Etobicoke School of the Arts and landed his first professional stage role at just 13 as Kurt von Trapp in Mirvish’s production of The Sound of Music. He has since starred in various TV shows such as Hulu’s sci-fi musical drama Utopia Falls, Canadian hit The Next Step and films like Full Out.
He actually auditioned for the role of Scott

In a recent interview with actor Evan Ross Katz for his Shut Up Evan Substack, G.K revealed that he had been working a 9-to-5 job before his role in Heated Rivalry. “I originally auditioned for the role of Scott Hunter, funny enough, which I don’t think I’ve mentioned until now,” he said. “I had a really s***** mustache that I had grown out and a bit of a mullet too – the most classic hockey bro look. Somehow Jacob [Tierney] must have seen past the crappy mullet and the mustache and said, ‘Let’s see this guy for Kip.’”
