How Myha’la went from Broadway dreams to Bodies Bodies Bodies, Leave the World Behind and Black Mirror … and how she met her future husband through Instagram

Today, on January 11, season four of Industry premiered to rave reviews. The Guardian called it “a daring, debauched and jaw-dropping treat” and Variety labelled it a “wildly ambitious reinvention”. The financial thriller exploring the ins and outs of the cutthroat investment banking world stars Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, Kit Harington and more. Charlie Heaton and Kiernan Shipka have joined the cast in season four.

Myha’la broke some big news to fans amid excitement over the new season too. Dropping a carousel of wedding photos with actor Armando Rivera on January 5, she revealed that the pair had tied the knot a year ago. “Sos [sorry] if this is how you’re finding out, promise we didn’t tell most everyone,” she wrote cheekily.

Myha’la had Broadway ambitions since she was six, per her interview with Vulture. At that age, she was doing dance recitals where she’d perform the song “Puttin’ on the Ritz”. When it was time for her to pick a career, she went straight for acting with the support of her mother. “She [her mother] was never concerned about a job [for me]. She just believed that I was going to make it happen. I do attribute that confidence and love for myself to her completely,” Myha’la shared.
