Missal began acting at the age of 10, following in sister’s Kelley Missal’s footsteps –Tell Me Lies’ Bree is her biggest role yet

Based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 novel of the same name, Hulu’s dual timeline drama Tell Me Lies has finally returned to our screens with a third instalment on January 13.

The series takes place in 2015 with flashbacks up to around a decade prior following the complicated and sometimes toxic love story between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over the course of eight years after meeting in college.

“I’m scared for the audience,” said Van Patten about the new season in an interview with People last November. “Everything’s coming to a head, and everything’s getting more and more tangled and intertwined.”

And while Van Patten and White may play the lead characters in the show, they’re not the only characters with a turbulent love life. At the end of season two, we see one of Lucy’s friends, Bree, played by actress Catherine Missal, navigate a toxic love life of her own after starting and eventually ending an inappropriate relationship with her married college professor. Keeping in mind that this is a dual timeline series, we see Bree getting ready to walk down the aisle on her wedding day in 2015 – only to find out that her soon-to-be husband actually cheated on her with Lucy.

Here’s everything you need to know about Catherine Missal.
