His credits include Thor and The Amazing Spider‑Man 2, and he won a Gemini Award for his portrayal of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau

Taylor Sheridan’s Landman – starring Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore and Jon Hamm – wrapped its second season on Sunday with an eventful finale that already has fans anticipating the show’s return.

The gritty drama is set in West Texas and follows Thornton’s character Tommy Norris, a “landman” (energy-industry professional) navigating the oil industry. As season two ends, Tommy moves to launch his own oil company with the help of his closest allies and his lawyer Nate (Colm Feore) – known to Tommy’s wife Angela (Ali Larter) as Neil in a long-running gag – who turns down a major promotion and quits his firm out of loyalty to Tommy.

With Landman already confirmed for a third season, here’s what to know about the actor behind Nate, aka Neil.

While not a famous name like co-stars Thornton, Moore and Hamm, Feore is a respected actor with an impressive 177 acting credits on his IMDB at the time of writing. After graduating from secondary school, he attended the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. He made his on-screen debut in the French-Canadian TV series Frédéric in 1980 before appearing in CBC shows and a series of TV movies.

Feore appeared in 33 episodes of the Netflix superhero comedy drama The Umbrella Academy and played a key villain in Marvel’s Thor (2011).
