Cook was reportedly born on February 14, 1995, in Toledo, Ohio, according to what appears to be his WordPress blog. At 12 years old, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, after his mother took up a job in the city. He went to Crestdale Middle School, where he played American football, per The Charlotte Post. He later studied acting at Wake Forest University on a scholarship, after which he attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
The 31-year-old enjoys reading and hopes to create an arts centre in Charlotte someday.
