However, a chance encounter with Calvin at Studio 54, a New York City nightclub, led him to offer Kelly a role at his brand the next morning.
Kelly began working at Calvin Klein in 1981 when she was 21 and began dating the designer shortly after. The pair tied the knot in Rome in 1986.
“He would walk into the room, and it was just like the lights went on. The movie started every single day. I was so much more special when he came into the room,” Kelly said in a 2008 Vanity Fair interview about her ex-husband.
