The award-winning actress – known for roles on Entourage and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D – also co-hosts a podcast and is a champion for women’s rights
In fact, in the past episodes, Zimmer’s Messina delivers a powerful speech to Bessette and JFK Jr’s wedding guests, making her stance clear on their relationship and her concerns for her daughter. Zimmer revealed in an interview with Town & Country magazine that she had actually read the toast during her audition.

“I got the pages right before I got on an 11-hour flight. I spent all that time memorising the monologue, and after that there was no question. I was going to audition because I was honoured to try to embrace this character, who none of us really knew much about. I feel so fortunate that I got the part,” Zimmer told the magazine.
