She made her film debut in 2022, in A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks, and has also appeared in one of Bad Bunny’s music videos

The Madison, a new neo-Western drama by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, premiered on March 14 – and has already become the most-watched TV series on the Paramount+ streaming platform, according to streaming data collection website FlixPatrol.

The show shines a spotlight on a fresh face: Elle Chapman, who plays Paige McIntosh, part of the show’s starring Clyburn family. The show follows the Clyburns’ move from New York City to Montana while grieving the late family patriarch, Preston, played by Kurt Russell.

Amid the buzz surrounding the show – and anticipation for its second season, which has already been filmed – we take a look at how the 28-year-old Chapman got started in showbiz.

She endured a similar tragedy as her character in The Madison

Chapman was born in Alexandria, Virginia. Her family moved to New York when she was four. They later spent time in Turkey and the Netherlands, per Town & Country. They returned to the US when Chapman was 11, after her father was diagnosed with brain cancer. His passing soon followed, after which Chapman and her family moved back to Virginia.

In The Madison, Chapman’s character Paige also loses her father. Filming the burial scenes took her “right back to” her own father’s funeral, Chapman told Town & Country, adding that she and Paige share “a lot of grief”.

She has been a model, skateboarding coach and stand-up comedian
