Meet David E. Kelley, Michelle Pfeiffer’s husband who is an Emmy-winning TV writer and producer

The Madison star has been with Kelley since 1993 – he’s behind the upcoming Margo’s Got Money Troubles and hit 1990s TV show Ally McBeal
Yellowstone and Landman creator Taylor Sheridan’s latest drama, The Madison, is the internet’s new obsession. According to streaming data collection website FlixPatrol, the show is currently one of the most-watched TV shows on Paramount+.

In an interview with Variety, Pfeiffer – who’s known for her role in the iconic 1983 crime thriller Scarface – described The Madison’s upcoming second season as “the messy and profound rebuilding of everything that you knew, after everything that you knew has fallen apart”.

Next up, Pfeiffer is set to star in the highly anticipated Apple TV series Margo’s Got Money Troubles alongside Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning. The show – created by her husband, Emmy-winning writer and producer David E. Kelley – marks the couple’s first collaboration, despite him previously claiming they would never work together. The project has gone well for the couple, with the 67-year-old actress praising her husband’s creative talents during Apple TV’s press day for the show.
“When I read the book, I could only see one person playing [Pfeiffer’s role], and we’re lucky enough that she said yes, the second luckiest yes I’ve gotten from her,” Kelley added.
Here, we take a look at Kelley’s life, career and his relationship with Pfeiffer.
