Before landing his role in the HBO Max medical drama, the father of 2 was already an avid fan – and named it as his dream show to star in

Season three of Apple TV’s hit comedy-drama Shrinking has come to an end, leaving fans heartbroken. Starring Jason Segel – who co-created and executive-produced the show with Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein – as therapist Jimmy Laird, the series explores themes of grief and found family.
Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams star as Jimmy’s colleagues at Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Centre, while Luke Tennie plays his patient, Sean Mitchell, whom he grows close to. By the end of the third season, Sean takes on a new job as a sous chef and moves out of Jimmy’s pool house just as Jimmy’s daughter, Alice (Lukita Maxwell), is going off to college.
If you enjoyed watching Tennie on Shrinking, you’re about to see more of him soon. The 31-year-old Abbott Elementary star has joined the cast of HBO Max’s Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt as Dr Crus Henderson, who clocks in for the night shift in season two, episode 13.
