The latest season of Beef stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Charles Melton – but what do you know about Seoyeon Jang, who plays Eunice?

Alongside the acting powerhouses leading the show are breakout stars Matthew Kim, aka Big Matthew or BM, and Seoyeon Jang, who are going viral for their roles as Woosh and Eunice, respectively. The former is a tennis player and instructor with a connection to Youn’s Chairwoman Park, while the latter serves as her assistant.

What’s Seoyeon Jang’s background?

Jang was born on February 15, 1995, in South Korea. Her parents raised her in London alongside her brother, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I had the best of both worlds growing up,” she told Marie Claire, emphasising that her background helped her relate to Eunice.
She attended London’s ArtsEd school, studying acting and dance, and moved back to South Korea when she started training to become a K-pop idol. She graduated from Korea University in 2024. Her family is currently still based in London.
