The English musician, who’s also toured with Ed Sheeran and Noah Kahan, joked that she may not make the guest list after gushing over Hilary Duff

Wedding bells are on the horizon for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The pair, who got engaged last August, are set for a July 3 wedding in New York, per Page Six. The guest list is said to be star-studded yet exclusive, with Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid reportedly serving as bridesmaids. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, and teammate Patrick Mahomes are expected to attend as well. However, some are still waiting on their save-the-dates.

British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters, who opened for Swift at Wembley Stadium in August 2024 as part of the superstar’s Eras Tour, falls in the latter camp. “I’ve not received a sourdough loaf or a wedding invite,” she revealed on a new episode of the pop culture podcast the Zach Sang Show. Peters connected the missing invite to a conversation she had with Swift, where she gushed over Hilary Duff. “After … my spiel on Hilary Duff, I don’t think it’s coming,” the 26-year-old mused. As for sourdough bread – which the “Blank Space” singer is famously obsessed with baking – Peters hopes that she’ll “one day” get to try a loaf.

Maisie Peters was born in May 2000 in West Sussex, in South East England, the child of a geography teacher and a communications consultant. She grew up near Brighton, the unofficial gay capital of the UK, alongside her fraternal twin sister Ellen, with whom she hosts the Twinhood podcast. “You live a five-minute walk from all your friends, and you drink Glen’s vodka in the field when you’re 15! It was very much that vibe!” she recalled in an interview with F Word magazine. She enjoyed reading and writing as a child, per Teen Vogue.

Her first forays into music

Peters partly gets her love of music from her parents, who encouraged her to develop her own musical taste, per F Word. Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” inspired her aged 13 to teach herself guitar and start writing her own songs. She built an audience by busking in West Sussex and releasing covers on YouTube. Despite struggling with vocal polyps, Peters has released several successful albums, including The Good Witch (2023) and Florescence (2026).
