The PR titan reps some of the biggest brands in fashion, but also loves Eau d’Hadrien from Annick Goutal and jumpers from Uniqlo – and takes his favourite Rolex diving

A fixture at the top shows at Paris Fashion Week and beyond – from Saint Laurent to Sacai – Lucien Pagès is the definition of a PR maven. His eponymous agency, which last year was acquired by global marketing and communication group The Independents, has helped brands such as Jacquemus and Schiaparelli reach new heights and has propelled the careers of many independent designers. With offices in New York and Paris, and clients spanning the globe, Pagès is a globetrotter and a Renaissance man, as his tips on his favourite finds from around the world show. Here’s a look at them.

What I’m watching (and reading)

I am a big fan of series – every night before bed I escape reality with a TV show. I like the best ones of the moment, but these are in my pantheon: The Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under.

I mostly read biographies – movie directors, artists, collectors, royalty and iconic celebrities. I like to know about a talent’s life and work. My favourite writer is Bret Easton Ellis. I am sad he is not writing more. I also have a list of my lifetime favourite films, from All About Eve (1950) to Elle (2016). (See below.)

I love funny accounts with smart memes like @maviedanslaqueuedelacaf. I like @stylenotcom. He is so kind and clear in his posts – I think he is showing you can be buzzy on social media without being mean.

I am terrible with routine, I have no patience for it. But I have been wearing Eau d’Hadrien from Annick Goutal since I was 15, and Guerlain Eau de Cologne Du Coq and recently Acqua Sale from Bottega Veneta. I also like the Purifying Auric Cleanse Bath Salts from Aman Essentials.
