Meet Clavicular, the ‘looksmaxxing’ influencer who just made his New York Fashion Week debut

He started injecting himself with hormones at 14 to ‘maximise’ his looks, started streaming, and now earns US$100,000 monthly

While looksmaxxing might seem relatively innocent at first glance, the trend has been deemed controversial for its harmful impact on young men and its misogynistic connotations given its ties to incels, a portmanteau for “involuntary celibates”. The word refers to a subculture of men who blame women for their lack of sexual and romantic experiences.
Here’s everything to know about looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular.
He began injecting himself with hormones at 14

Clavicular was born in December 2005 to a businessman father and a stay-at-home mother and raised in Hoboken, New Jersey. His interest in looksmaxxing started during his teenage years. Unhappy with his appearance, he turned to the internet and forums like 4Chan and looksmax.org. When he was only 14 years old, he ordered testosterone off the internet. Despite intervention from his parents, the young influencer continued to order and inject himself with steroids, fat dissolvers and more – sometimes even resorting to taking meth to suppress his appetite.
