Jake Gyllenhaal is the new face of the Santos de Cartier watch
A film advertisement featuring the veteran actor will be online and in theatres this spring
American actor and producer Jake Gyllenhaal will be the new face of luxury watchmaker Cartier’s iconic Santos de Cartier timepiece.
Noted for his performance in Brokeback Mountain (2005), which earned him a BAFTA for best supporting role and an Oscar nomination, the 37-year-old Hollywood actor is set to appear in a film advertisement which will appear online and in cinemas this spring, according to New York magazine WWD.
With a functional and elegant design, the Santos de Cartier watch was first developed in 1904.
The latest interpretation of the square-face timepiece, which features an interchangeable leather strap and bracelet, was unveiled in Geneva in January.
