Mr Porter, the online retail website, has teamed up with luxury French watch brand Bell & Ross to release an exclusive new, limited-edition BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon Sapphire timepiece worth US$480,000.
It is debuting at the leading international watch fair Baselworld 2018 in Switzerland today.
Manufactured in house by Bell & Ross, the full case of the timepiece is cut out of five blocks of sapphire, and has a hand-wound skeleton flying-tourbillon movement housed within it.
When put together with the translucent rubber strap, it showcases a unique “floating” look on the wrist.
This groundbreaking timepiece will be the most expensive item available to buy on the Mr Porter website in its seven-year history.
Only six of the timepieces will be available to buy – all exclusively from Mr Porter.
