Food, glorious food
Foodies should be getting their appetites ready for the Macau Food Festival. Located next to the Macau Tower, the festival comprises booths offering Asian and European favourites and specialities from all over the world. The festival runs from Friday November 13 until Sunday November 29. Opening hours are 5pm to 11pm, Monday to Thursday, and 3pm to 12am, Friday to Sunday.

Brilliant Brazilian at the Sheraton
Brazilian delights rule the roost at Feast in November, as the Sheraton Macao Hotel hosts a buffet celebrating the country’s heritage. Expect samba dancers, Caipirinhas and Rodizio dishes. Tender cuts of beef otherwise known as Maminha, three varieties of sausages, and brown sugar-glazed Presunto ham roasted with caramelised pineapple are among the highlights. With a trio of dancers to entertain guests, the fun continues throughout November. Brazilian Rodizio is at Feast restaurant from 6pm to 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings at 498 patacas for adults and 249 patacas for children.

Fringe festival raises the tempo
The Macau Fringe 2015 runs from Sunday November 1 to Sunday November 15, highlighting local and international talent in the performing arts. The programme runs the gamut of artistic expression with performances and workshops in body painting, to light shows, puppetry, drama and circus acts. The city’s venues offer inspiring backdrops to the action.

Experience traditional Chinese music
For those looking for a taste of culture, the Macao Chinese Orchestra Special Production Series is offering a special insight into traditional Chinese culture. – “(In)Fluences. Winds” “(In)Fluências. Sopros” - Concerto de Sopros Wind Concert on Saturday November 28 will bring Tang Junjiao to the Dom Pedro V Theatre. The famous Chinese traditional instrumentalist is a leading Dizi (bamboo flute) player.

Music spectacles this month
The opening of the Studio City Event Center, a 5,000-seat multipurpose entertainment hub, is bringing the stars to Macau for concerts. In November, a series of shows featuring nine Taiwanese Mando-pop stars will include Show Lo, JJ Lin, Yoga Lin, A-Lin and Hebe Tien. Meanwhile, at the Cotai Arena, The Venetian Macao, Malaysian singer Fish Leong is performing her new stage spectacle. The singer’s Tu t’appelles l’amour 2015 World Tour Macao will take place on Saturday November 7.

The fame and the fury
The 62nd Macau Grand Prix from Thursday November 19 to Sunday November 22, will feature 228 competitors from 31 countries and territories, with 49 Macau-based drivers.
A highlight of the weekend will be the 33rd running of the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix, with 28 drivers, from the FIA F3 European Championship, the All-Japan F3 Championship and other Formula 3 series. Out of the 20 drivers in Formula One this year, 13 have competed at Macau. Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher are among the eight Formula One world champions to have raced on the Guia Circuit.
