China’s largest political event of the year ended in Beijing on Wednesday after two weeks of meetings.

Known as the “two sessions”, the gatherings of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the National People’s Congress brought 5,000 officials, lawmakers and political advisers to Beijing’s Great Hall of the People.
