We must not give corrupt officials any hiding place, Xi Jinping tells cadres
Chinese leader told key meeting in October that the fight against graft remained ‘grim and complex’, according to excerpts from speech

He told officials at a key political meeting in October there would be no place for the corrupt to hide, according to excerpts from his speech released on Wednesday.
Noting the graft cases reported to the committee during the conclave, Xi again emphasised that corruption was “the greatest threat” facing the party and said the cases were another reminder that the fight remained “grim and complex”.
The committee had reviewed and approved an investigation report on five senior officials and nine military generals who were all accused of corruption, removed from their posts and expelled from the party, according to a statement released after the plenum.
