Chinese teenager saved as he posts live feed of suicide attempt after being bitten by pet cobra

A Chinese teenager was rushed to hospital when he posted a live online feed showing his suicide attempt after being bitten by his pet cobra, mainland media report.

The unnamed 19 year old from Taicang, in Jiangsu province, was now in a safe condition after receiving hospital treatment, the news portal Yangtse.com reported.

Last week the teenager posted photographs of himself, after being bitten on the thumb by the highly venomous snake, along with details of his home address and a suicide note, the report said.

However, the online community responded immediately to the live video feed, which was posted on a reptile enthusiasts forum, by alerting police.
