Twenty years ago today, Link Real Estate Investment Trust (Link REIT) was listed in Hong Kong, marking a vibrant journey of shared growth with local communities. From bustling neighbourhood malls and lively fresh markets to playgrounds filled with children’s laughter, Link has become part of Hong Kong’s daily rhythm. As we celebrate this milestone, our mission remains unchanged: to create more connected, convenient and vibrant space, linking people to a brighter future and unlocking the full potential of every neighbourhood.
Enhancing Everyday Places for People
Every community story begins with daily life — how people live, move, and interact. Over the years, guided by a people-first philosophy, Link has completed more than 100 enhancement projects across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, upgrading malls, vibrant markets, and revitalised public spaces to deliver better user experience.
From improving spatial design and hygiene to curating a thoughtful tenant mix and revitalising playgrounds and sports facilities, these projects preserve local character while creating modern, functional environments. Today, millions of residents and visitors enjoy safer, more convenient and dynamic places that genuinely support thriving neighbourhood commerce.

Sustainability makes the greatest impact when it improves daily living, and Link’s scale enables this across the city. As Hong Kong’s largest private operator of public EV charging networks, Link enables families across the city to embrace green mobility with more than 3,000 charging facilities. Through more than 4,600 green leases, Link also works closely with tenants to reduce energy, water and waste consumption.
Link’s fresh markets also partner with non-profit organisations to turn surplus food into meal boxes for families in need, while remaining food waste is sent to O·Park 1 for conversion into renewable energy, transforming daily market activity into a powerful force for circular living.
Clean energy is another area of progress. Across our Hong Kong portfolio, 58 solar systems generate about 4.2 million kWh annually, enough to power 1,200 households, while carbon reduction becomes part of everyday life. Since 2010, Link’s Hong Kong properties have saved 46.1% in electricity consumption.

Communities grow when people thrive. Through the flagship charity and community engagement programme, Link Together Initiatives, Link has invested over HK$174 million to support more than 200 projects focused on sustainability, inclusion, and active ageing, as well as youth empowerment. These efforts provide meaningful support for young people, seniors, families, and non-profit organisations.
Link University Scholarship has awarded over 2,000 scholarships in the past decade, helping first-generation university students from local families pursue their aspirations. To mark the 20th anniversary, Link launched the Link 20th Anniversary Outstanding Student Scholarship, granting 100 awards to promising secondary school students and creating broader opportunities for the next generation.

Vibrant communities thrive on shared experience and activity. At Lok Fu Place, Link Sustainability Lab brings sustainability to life through interactive exhibitions and workshops. Its latest themed illustrates how Link and the community have spent two decades co-creating liveable, engaging spaces that support everyday life and long-term sustainability.
Beyond learning, we actively promote healthy living and social connection through initiatives such as Tour de Link series and Link Hong Kong Open, encouraging residents to come together, enjoy sport, and strengthen community bonds.
