Second black rainstorm warning issued in week as downpours hit Hong Kong
Southwesterly monsoon bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms to the coast of southern China, forecaster says

The Hong Kong Observatory issued the highest-level black rainstorm warning for a second time in a week on Saturday, with torrential downpours causing flooding in some areas of the city.
The forecaster said an active southwesterly monsoon was bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of southern China and the northern part of the South China Sea.
It first raised the amber rainstorm warning, the lowest in a three-tier system, at 6.50am, before upgrading it to red at 9.10am and then black 35 minutes later at 9.45am. The black warning was in force for two hours before it was downgraded to red.
It was later replaced by the amber rainstorm alert, which was cancelled at 4pm.
However, the city continued to endure bad weather in the evening. At 10.35pm, another amber rainstorm warning was issued.
