Top corporate leaders, athletes and members of ethnic minority groups hit the streets on Sunday to carry the torch for the Hong Kong section of the National Games relay.

The 90-minute 10km relay began at the government’s headquarters in Tamar Park, passing the Central harbourfront and Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, before the torch crossed Victoria Harbour by ferry and ended at Kai Tak Sports Park.

The event took place alongside torch relays in Macau, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Representatives from the four cities were then set to return the flames after their relays for a ceremony at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre in Guangzhou.

The National Games are scheduled to start on November 9.
