A warehouse in northern Hong Kong caught fire on Saturday, forcing more than 30 people including dozens of residents of a nearby nursing home to evacuate.
Police received multiple calls about the fire breaking out in the warehouse on Ma Liu Shui San Tsuen’s Lung Ma Road in Sheung Shui at around 5.27pm.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within an hour, and no injuries were reported.
A manager and three staff members were in the warehouse when the fire started but moved to safety immediately, according to police.

About 30 people were evacuated from a nearby nursing home. One man and one woman reported feeling unwell and received treatment at the scene, according to local media. No one needed hospital treatment, police said.
A man living in a house next to the warehouse also left his residence.
Videos and photos posted online showed a fierce blaze at the warehouse, with flames reaching the ceiling and thick smoke billowing into the sky.
The Fire Services Department and police were investigating the cause of the blaze.
